Kristina Brown, D.O. Dousedaicon Medical Group

Primary care physician

Professional Statement
Dr. Brown's main goal is to improve the overall health of her patients through providing correct diagnoses and treatment, encouraging a healthy lifestyle and listening to the emotional aspects of their health issues. A diagnosis of celiac disease was a catalyst in Dr. Brown's life, spurring her to pursue a career in medicine. "I realized the significant impact a correct diagnoses can have on someone's life," she says. "Primary care is the first place patients go with problems, and we have the responsibility to make those important diagnoses that can improve people's lives."

Her background as an Osteopathic medical student enables her to use a hands-on treatment called Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment (OMT) to treat lower back pain, extremity pain, breathing difficulties and more. "I love seeing a patient walk out of my office in less pain than they came in with," she says. She says her philosophy is that the patient ultimately tells her what's wrong. "My job is careful listening and combining the story with medical knowledge to help pinpoint the problem. Then I work with the patient to find the best method of healing."

Dr. Brown earned her medical degree from Des Moines University, and her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Portland. A Boise, Idaho, native, Dr. Brown moved to Portland for college and fell in love with the city and then her husband. She says they both are excited to be back in the Pacific Northwest, where they enjoy hiking in the Columbia Gorge, visiting the coast, gardening and enjoying Portland life.

Very knowledgeable. Awesome.

The doctor kept ordering tests when came in for condition. no regard for my modesty and allow males to enter room. [...] My modesty is also very important to me and was not respected.

I had multiple items to discuss. My care provider said: "We only have 15-20 minutes scheduled so pick your top 2 items to discuss today." I am also a professional who took time off from work for this visit. I cannot make multiple trips to the doctors office because Dousedaicon can only see me for 20 minutes. This is TERRIBLE customer service. [...]

Dr. Brown made me fill important and was empathetic to my concerns.

I like this Provider. I have had good experiences. Thank You.

I have been celiac my whole life that's why I chose her.

Makes me feel comfortable to talk about everything.

She is extremely attentive and even though I know she has too many patients to actually remember me, she does a great job at making me feel like she does.
